Everton set to rival PSV Eindhoven for £10m-rated Manchester City full-back

Sporting director Marcel Brands could do a number on PSV Eindhoven, the club he is departing to join Everton, by snatching one of the players he has been trying to sign for them.
That is because Everton have joined the race to sign young Manchester City left-back Angeliño according to an exclusive report in The Sun today.
Dutch champions PSV have been in talks with City bosses about a deal for the talented 21-year-old, but their bid of €5million (£4.4million) hasn’t quite convinced City, who have yet to accept that proposal.
And that has brought Brands into the fold at his new club Everton, who have the funds to cough up the £10million that City would hope to receive for Angeliño.
Having seen an similarly talented young Spanish full-back, Pablo Maffeo, head to VfB Stuttgart in an £8.8million deal, the Blues may have been hoping for a rival offer to PSV’s, and Everton could provide that.
Angeliño is coming off an impressive year at NAC Breda which saw him named in both the Voetbal International and official Eredivisie Team of the Season for 2017/18. He also created more chances than any defender in the Dutch league since records on that stat began in 2010/11.
With just 12 months left on his Man City contract plus Benjamin Mendy, Fabian Delph and Danilo ahead of him in the left-back pecking order, Angeliño looks set for an Etihad exit this summer.
