Javier Pastore’s agent has jetted into London for talks with West Ham, according to RMC Sport journalist Saber Desfarges.
The journalist claimed on his personal Twitter account on Friday night that the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder’s representatives has held positive talks with the Hammers after Sky Sports reported that the Hammers are discussing a deal that could be worth up to £17.5million.
The Daily Express has reported that Pastore earns £158,000-a-week in his deal at PSG, which is due to expire next year. Others reports say his wages could be as low as £87,000 per week while some say £170,000, £190,000 or even £200,000 per week. The truth is there is a lot of speculation on his current package with the French champions.
While we are told there is some genuine interest in the PSG playmaker, West Ham is unlikely to pay more than their current highest earner Javier Hernandez who earns £145,0000 per week. The chance of signing the player has been described as a ‘long shot’.
