The PSV players who are heading to Russia

The 2018 World Cup kicks off in exactly eight days. Three PSV players will jet off to Russia, along with two coaches and one physiotherapist.
Santiago Arias 
Santiago Arias has been named in José Pékerman’s 23-man squad. The right back played the full 90 minutes for Los Cafeteros in their last three international fixtures. Colombia face Poland, Senegal and Japan in Group H. They play Japan on 19 June before taking on Poland five days later. They meet Senegal in the last group stage game.

Lozano 
Mexican striker Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano has been included in Juan Carlos Osorio’s 23-man squad Lozano scored four goals for Mexico in nine World Cup qualifying appearances. He was handed a start in two out of three international friendlies recently. El Tri face tough opposition in Group F alongside Germany, Sweden and South Korea. They first meet Germany in a mouth-watering tie on 17 June before taking on South Korea six days later. They welcome Sweden in their last group stage game on 27 June.

Gudmundsson 
Albert Gudmundsson is in the party for Iceland . The winger travelled to Indonesia in January, and completed a hat trick after having been brought on as a substitute. Iceland lost all of the three last international friendlies. Gudmundsson featured for Iceland in their 3-0 defeat against Lozano’s Mexico. Iceland hope to qualify from group D which features Nigeria, Argentina and Croatia. They first meet Argentina before locking horns with Nigeria and Croatia.

Van Bommel, Dirkx and Pepels 
In addition to the three PSV players, Mark van Bommel, Jürgen Dirkx and Eddy Pepels will also be at the Russia showpiece. Van Bommel and Dirkx are assistant coaches of Australia manager Bert van Marwijk, Australia face France, Peru and Denmark in Group C . Physiotherapist Pepels travels with the Belgium squad to Russia. Belgium meet England, Panama and Tunesia in Group G.
